What is the Whistleblowing System?

The WBS is an official mechanism established by PT Badak NGL to facilitate the reporting of suspected misconduct or violations — by employees, business partners, and other relevant parties.

This system reflects PT Badak NGL's commitment to Good Corporate Governance (GCG), guided by the TARIF principles: Transparency, Accountability, Responsibility, Independency, and Fairness.

The Whistleblowing System (WBS) is a formal mechanism for reporting suspected misconduct or violations by employees, business partners, and company leadership.

The system is designed to provide a safe space for anyone with knowledge of a suspected violation to come forward — without fear of retaliation, discrimination, or any form of adverse action.

What Can Be Reported?

The following categories of suspected misconduct may be reported through PT Badak NGL's Whistleblowing System:

Fraud & Corruption

Fraudulent acts, conflicts of interest, bribery, and corruption within the company environment.

Ethical Violations

Conduct that breaches ethical values, the company's code of ethics, or professional standards of behavior.

HR & Employment Violations

Infringement of employee rights, discrimination, intimidation, and unfair treatment in the workplace.

Security Threats & Criminal Acts

Security breaches, theft of company assets, sabotage, and other forms of criminal conduct.

Harassment

Physical, verbal, or visual harassment in the workplace that is harmful to individuals or groups.

HSE Violations

Breaches of Health, Safety & Environment standards that endanger personnel or the surrounding environment.

How to Report

A well-documented report helps ensure an effective investigation. Please include as much detail as possible using the 4W framework:

Report Received & Verified
PT Badak NGL's Internal Audit team will receive and verify your report. An independent consultant (Deloitte) is engaged to ensure objectivity throughout the process.

Investigation & Follow-Up
Reports meeting the required criteria will be independently investigated by the Ethics Committee. Findings are followed up in accordance with applicable company regulations.

Anonymity Options

Reporters may choose their preferred level of identity disclosure based on personal comfort and individual needs.

Full Disclosure

The reporter's identity will be shared with the company's Ethics Committee to support a thorough investigation.

Partial Anonymity

The reporter's identity is known only to the independent consultant (Deloitte) and will not be disclosed to the Ethics Committee.

Full Anonymity

The reporter's identity will not be revealed to anyone. The report is processed entirely without identifying information.

Yes, PT Badak NGL guarantees the confidentiality of every reporter's identity. You may choose from three anonymity options: Full Disclosure, Partial Anonymity (known only to Deloitte), or Full Anonymity (no party will have access to your identity).

Can I report a violation involving an external party?

Yes. PT Badak NGL's WBS is open to reports from employees, business partners, vendors, contractors, and any external parties who have information regarding suspected violations involving PT Badak NGL.

What happens if my report cannot be substantiated?

Reports submitted in good faith based on information genuinely believed to be true will still receive full protection, even if the investigation concludes that no violation occurred. Protection does not apply to reports submitted intentionally or maliciously.

How long does the investigation take after I file a report?

All incoming reports are first verified by the Internal Audit team. A thorough investigation is then conducted by the Ethics Committee, with the involvement of independent consultant Deloitte. The duration varies depending on the complexity of each case.

Can I report more than one violation in a single report?

Yes, you may include multiple suspected violations in a single report. However, to facilitate the investigation process, it is recommended that each case be described separately with clear and detailed information using the 4W framework.
