BONTANG – Badak LNG hosted a working visit by representatives from Brunei LNG at the Badak LNG Plant. The visit, which took place from Monday (October 12, 26) through Thursday (October 15, 26), was organized as a forum for two-way knowledge exchange and to explore potential cooperation between liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers.

The visit, attended by 14 representatives from Brunei LNG, served as a platform for both companies to share experiences and best practices in the gas processing industry. One of the main topics of discussion focused on the planning, implementation, and management of plant decommissioning activities.

Throughout the series of events, both parties engaged in interactive, two-way discussions. Badak LNG shared practical experiences and technological insights covering the various critical areas mentioned above—ranging from engineering, warehouse management, and human resources management to financial management. According to Robby Sukma Dharmawan, Marketing Manager at Badak LNG, the working visit could open up broader opportunities for operational synergy in the future.

“As a follow-up to this visit, both companies will explore in greater depth the potential for cooperation in areas such as manpower support, technical advisory services, and training,” he said.

Meanwhile, Azlan Abdul Aziz, Community Relations Lead at Brunei LNG, expressed appreciation for Badak LNG’s openness in sharing its expertise and strengths throughout the visit. “We visited Badak LNG to learn, as well as to align, coordinate, and collaborate on various matters of mutual interest. This visit also helped us enhance our knowledge and understanding of Badak LNG’s strengths in its operations. We hope that this kind of collaboration can continue and open up many job opportunities in the future,” he said.

This visit serves as a first step for both Badak LNG and Brunei LNG to strengthen synergies in the LNG industry through knowledge transfer and sustained cooperation.
