As part of its commitment to supporting education and sustainable development, Badak LNG once again held the Be-Fair (Badak Education Fair) program on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Vidatra High School in Bontang. The event was attended by 93 eleventh-grade students.

The Badak Education Fair (Be-Fair) is one of Badak LNG’s flagship CSR programs, consisting of interactive teaching activities in schools across Bontang City—from elementary schools to universities—led by Badak LNG officers. This edition of Be-Fair is part of the larger “One Pertamina” collaboration program through the “One Kolab” initiative, which promotes cross-functional collaboration and synergy. The activity also involved PIONEER (Perwira Participation Volunteer) as a form of active collaboration between the company and its employees in supporting social-educational activities for students in Bontang City. Through this program, Badak LNG hopes that students can gain a broader perspective and understand the various opportunities and challenges in the industrial world, going beyond the material learned in the classroom.

In its implementation, this edition of Be-Fair adopted the theme “Equip Knowledge, Realize Progress” using a practitioner-led learning method in the classroom. The facilitators, who are Badak LNG employees, shared their experiences and knowledge directly with the students. The material presented included an introduction to the LNG industry and its management processes, delivered in a simple and interactive manner.

The students’ enthusiasm was evident from the start to the end of the activity. Active interaction throughout the session demonstrated their high interest in getting to know the energy industry and the professions within it more closely. The school also welcomed this activity positively, as it was deemed capable of providing an inspiring and practical learning experience for the students.

The Be-Fair program itself has been implemented continuously in various schools across Bontang City. Throughout 2025, the program has been held at several schools, including Bontang 1 State High School and Bontang 3 State Junior High School, as part of the company’s efforts to expand access to industrial education for students.

The Be-Fair program is one of the ways Badak LNG demonstrates its commitment to the development of the younger generation in Bontang City. This activity is also in line with the company’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 on Quality Education.
