Badak LNG once again launched a health and wellness program titled “HeyJoJo 2026: Healthy & Joyful Journey” on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the Multi-Purpose Building at Badak LNG. With the theme “Move More, Live Better, and Be the Best,” this 16-week (3.5-month) program is designed to foster a culture of healthy, fit, and productive living among all employees, business partners, and employees’ families.
The launch of HeyJoJo 2026 serves as a crucial foundation for the Company as it prepares for the planned reactivation of the refinery. This was highlighted by Badak LNG Vice President of Production Johan Anindito Indriawan during his opening remarks. “We are currently ‘revitalizing’ the refinery facilities through reactivation. However, it is equally important to prepare our human resources. HeyJojo 2026 is one of our initiatives to ensure that the Company’s workforce is healthy, fit, and ready to support future refinery operations,” he explained. He also added that it is important for management to serve as role models in healthy living, such as promoting “Bike to Work” every Friday, while reminding everyone that the competitive spirit in the HeyJojo 2026 program must always prioritize safety.
Meanwhile, on the same occasion, Badak LNG Padang’s Senior Manager of SHE&Q, Wikar Hapsoro, explained that HeyJojo 2026 features six main programs: the Move More Challenge, the Fat Loss Challenge, Sunday Boost, Bfresh (Badak Fitness & Refresh), Gasbro, and SAHABAT. This series of programs is designed to foster healthy lifestyle habits that focus not only on short-term results but also on the long-term sustainability of employees’ fitness.
“Health is our primary asset for working safely and productively, and it helps us make better contributions. Hopefully, through this program, a culture of healthy living will not only last for 16 weeks but will ideally continue indefinitely. That way, we can become healthy workers who are better prepared to face workplace challenges,” he said.
Unlike in previous years, there have been adjustments to several programs in HeyJojo 2026. For example, this year’s evaluation criteria for the Move More Challenge and Fat Loss Challenge include more specific parameters. In addition to exercise duration or time, parameters such as average heart rate and calories burned during exercise are also measured and evaluated. Consequently, this year participants are required to use a smartwatch or smartband to accurately track these specific metrics.
To support the HeyJojo 2026 programs, a Health Talk was also held on the theme “Healthy Exercise Without Injury: Active Movement, Productive Body,” featuring Dr. Taufan Favian, Sp. KO., from Premier Bintaro Hospital. In his presentation, Dr. Taufan shared five key messages with participants, including gradually increasing exercise intensity (by a maximum of 10% per week), the importance of a 10-minute warm-up to prevent long-term injuries, treating new injuries without massage, incorporating strength training alongside cardio exercises, and undergoing health screenings for employees over 40 years old before beginning intensive physical activities. This educational session serves as a guide for employees and business partners to safely complete the entire HeyJojo 2026 challenge series.
Through the HeyJojo 2026 program, Badak LNG is actively supporting efforts to promote a healthy lifestyle in the workplace. Through consistent health support over the next 16 weeks, the Company aims to help employees and business partners maintain their physical fitness on an ongoing basis to support operational performance.
